MNMSC partnered with Vumatel and Ster-Kinekor to create an unconventional learning experience that brought Mathematics and Science education to the big screen.

As part of the initiative, Mlungisi Nkosi specially recorded Mathematics and Science lessons for the participating Grade 11 learners, transforming the cinema into an engaging alternative learning environment. Vumatel identified and sponsored learners from a school to attend the programme, while MNMSC also opened the experience to learners from its wider digital community.

The programme gave learners the opportunity to engage with curriculum-based content in a setting far removed from the traditional classroom. By combining purpose-built educational content with the cinema experience, the initiative made learning feel fresh, accessible and engaging.

The project was successfully delivered and demonstrated the power of creative partnerships to reimagine how learners experience education — proving that a classroom doesn't always have to look like a classroom.
